BBS starts from integrating with the forum software. A website can already benefit from BBS by integrating it with the existing plugin ecosystem. There are thousands of existing forums that users can get points from posting threads and spend the points. Maybe you can pay to download attachments, or sticking the topic by spending your virtual credits. With BBS you can change the credits to cryptocurrency, deposit it securely to another website, trade on the exchange. Or on the other hand, purchase the points with BBS.
