Introduction

Caliber is a new Monero fork, one of the most respectable cryptocurrency well-known for security, privacy, untraceability. Caliber implements Bulletproofs from network launch. This combined with 4 minute block times (2x that of Monero) results in a significantly smaller chain. Estimated to be 1/10th - 1/20th of the size of the Monero blockchain pre-bulletproofs.

This is crucial to help promote decentralization as most users on pre Bulletproof blockchains have moved from local node to remote nodes.

Economics

All other Cryptonote coin emission curves are flawed by design as the coin value bleeds due to extreme early inflation after initial launch even with increasing market-cap. This is catastrophic for the early investor and adoption as a whole. Caliber implements a custom supply curve slowing the rate of inflation significantly to not hurt any investors.

The reward for the first 10,000 blocks starts at 8.7 CAL. Afterwards this will reduce to 2.1 CAL per block.
