Furiousteam Launches New Tools for!

FuriousTeam, the organization behind the revolutionary BLOC cryptocurrency, announces the launch of a comprehensive suite of lightweight, easy-to-use mining tools for macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android. The new tools further give users nine distinct ways to mine BLOC from anywhere, using any internet-connected computer or smartphone.

Mining for Everyone

The new mining suite builds upon’s secure, decentralized, fungible, and fast ecosystem. BLOC is a fully decentralized cryptocurrency based on the same open-source Cryptonote technology used by Monero, Electroneum, Bytecoin, and other popular currencies. Its Proof of Work Cryptonight Haven algorithm ensures that affordable hardware is no impediment to success: everyone can mine BLOC with roughly equal efficiency, making a uniquely egalitarian currency.’s completely reimagined, mobile-friendly user interface for iOS and Android includes a BLOC wallet and a built-in web miner. The browser-based miner for Linux, macOS, and Windows is fully featured, easy to use, and requires no software downloads or configuration. The innovative SLEEP MINING feature mine while you are away from your device, whether it be a mobile phone, tablet, computer, or even a Raspberry pi.

Webmasters seeking revenue without resorting to ads, or to offer distinctive rewards to their users can implement a simple JavaScript BLOC miner.

Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Begins with Universal Access

More than 2.7 billion smartphones are in use today, and developing markets represent the greatest areas of smartphone growth. BLOC was designed to meet the needs of users in both developed and developing countries. With an unprecedented range of mining options, FuriousTeam has solved one of the most significant impediments to global cryptocurrency adoption: lack of accessibility. BLOC’s simple, egalitarian approach to mining makes getting started with cryptocurrencies easier than ever.

A complete range of BLOC wallets has been developed as well: a stunning iOS app; an intuitive, ready-to-print paper wallet; a desktop wallet for macOS, Windows, and Linux; and a telegram wallet that makes BLOC available to more than 200 million monthly users. To make BLOC truly accessible to all, FuriousTeam has created perhaps the best support suite in the industry. Direct help is available through a wide range of channels, and BLOC Wiki features a comprehensive array of tutorials on the use of all software.

BLOC is traded on two exchanges, STEX and TRADEOGRE, with many more to come.

More Than Just a Cryptocurrency

BLOC’s ecosystem includes several innovative projects designed to extend its use into areas still dominated by fiat currency. The two most notable are PAYCHANGE and TRAAKX.
PAYCHANGE connects cryptocurrency to the real world. FuriousTeam believes that everyone should be able to use, spend, exchange any type of cryptocurrency in the same way as they could with any other currency. PAYCHANGE allows users to do just that, but more quickly, economically, and securely than at any traditional bank or any other exchange.

PAYCHANGE, which launches later in 2019, is designed to change the way we pay and get paid every day. It uses’s secure platform to provide a range of buying, selling, and transfer services, while connecting buyers and sellers with an innovative approach.

Business owners who join PAYCHANGE will benefit from increased brand awareness, and from access to’s rapidly growing cryptocurrency buyers database. The platform allows businesses to interact freely with customers, and to make those interactions count monewith advanced analytics guiding their messaging.

TRAAKX is the first social network that combines artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency to serve the needs of athletes. It represents a new way for athletes to share and monetise their passion for their favourite sports.

TRAAKX analyses GoPro metadata, including speed, altitude, GPS path, elevation, g-force, and other factors. Established athletes can share their data, allowing amateurs and up-and-comers to train the way their heroes do.

Athletes who wish to monetise their accomplishments can maintain career profiles on TRAAKX’s website, sell private coaching sessions via text message or video to aspiring athletes, and offer video footage to advertisers. The platform is also ideal for finding sponsors and event partners.
FuriousTeam is developing a dedicated hardware interface to the TRAAKX network that will provide an easy, seamless way for athletes to record their statistics, document their achievements, and share the results with the world.

The Team Behind BLOC

FuriousTeams’ CEO and Co-Founder, Steve, credits the development of BLOC to the team of industry experts who made it happen.

“With our 10+ years experience in the tech sector, we were able to gather a world-class team representing telecommunications, manufacturing, reverse engineering, product design and marketing specialists, all helping to make our vision a reality.

“Without the broad range of talent and expertise, we could never have imagined the possibility of making a product of this calibre accessible for anyone in the world, and we are extremely proud of the result.”

Connecting with Entrepreneurs

FuriousTeam’s decentralised, egalitarian approach to cryptocurrency is just the beginning. The currency is constantly looking for entrepreneurs ready to improve the BLOC ecosystem with new services and products. Opportunities include private messaging, social media, marketplaces for musicians and artists, and more.

These joint efforts are funded by a locked store of pre-mined BLOC coins, which guarantees funding through each project’s final release. All BLOC partnerships are governed by the same ethos that inspired the platform’s initial development: if we make a valuable product, the market value will create itself.

Monero scheduled network upgrade (March 9)

Note that this is a scheduled and consensual network upgrade. Thus, unlike the BCH / BTC split, a new coin won't be created.

Approximately the 9th of March there will be a scheduled network upgrade on the Monero network. To be sufficiently prepared, a user, service, merchant, pool operator, or exchange should run CLI v0.14.0.0 or GUI v0.14.0.0. The scheduled network upgrade introduces four major changes.

- First, some changes to the dynamic block size algorithm to fix the big bang attack.
- Second, a third PoW tweak (CryptoNight-R) to curb the ASICs currently present on the network and further preserve ASIC resistance.
- Third, a dummy encrypted payment ID is now added to each transaction to improve transaction homogeneity.
- Fourth, the development team simplified amount commitments by shrinking the size of amount encodings and using deterministic masks.

All users, pools, exchanges, and service operators should upgrade to version 5.1.0 as soon as possible. As some of you may be aware, there was a chain split event and the changes in this version are the first steps towards mitigating that threat. The changes are:

- Limit reorganization depth to mined money unlock window (10 blocks)
- Do not reorganize to alternative chain if it lacks at least one transaction from the public chain (51%-attack protection)
- Disable merged mining tag in the coinbase transaction

This release also includes the latest bootstrap of the blockchain which you should use only if you have problems syncing over the network. Here are the steps to use the bootstrap with the CLI and GUI:

Stop daemon
Delete *.dat and *.bin in ~/.conceal (linux/macOS) or %appdata%/conceal (windows)
Download and unpack fixed blockchain from the release
Download current release
Start daemon
Reset your wallet

Close Wallet
Delete *.dat and *.bin in ~/.conceal (linux/macIS) or %appdata%/conceal (windows)
Download and unpack fixed blockchain from the release
Download current release
Start Wallet
Setttings > Rescan Wallet

Consider choosing a smaller pool!

Healthy cryptocurrency ecosystem is a strong network with lots of hashpower that is spread out among different players all around the globe. The goal of any POW crypto coin should be to decentralize their hashpower as much as possible.

You can do your part by trying out a smaller pool!

Q: Will I get paid less on a smaller pool?

Generally speaking, you will earn the same.

For example we will take XMR block reward (~3.6XMR):

When you mine to a pool, you are contributing your hash power to find blocks. Each block that your pool finds rewards that pool with ~3.6 XMR, which are then distributed to those who helped mine that block in proportion to the effort that each miner contributed. If you are on a large pool and your rigs only have 0.1% of the hashpower to that pool, then you will get 0.0036 XMR from each block the pool finds.

If you are mining to a smaller pool where you are contributing 1% of the hashpower, then you will get 0.036 XMR from the block. It may take 10 times longer to find a block on a smaller pool, but your payout would then be 10 times higher, and it would even out.

Luck plays a role. With smaller pools, you can sometimes luck out and find blocks quickly for a time, giving substantially higher payments than you would get from a large pool. Conversely, sometimes luck goes against you and you earn less. But over the course of a week or a month, the amount you earn should be about the same.

Q: Aren't payments less frequent on smaller pools?

Yes. A pool that is finding blocks every 5 minutes will allow you to gather dust into your account quite quickly. A smaller pool has to find a block before you get any payment, and that could take several hours, or in the case of the smallest of pools, even a day or more. It's better to pay attention to the hash rate and your percentage of pool effort, rather than how much you are gaining into your account every minute.

Important! Saronite (XRN) Blockchain Swap

Saronite will move to a new blockchain on the 22nd of October 2018!

- The Saronite blockchain currently runs on Sumokoin code
- Saronite moving to Monero code base

Even though the code will be completely different and be  a complete new currency, everything will be exactly the same. Please take a few moments to read how this will be done.

Firstly, a new genesis block will be created, the current coins in existence will be mined on the first block. Everyone in the Saronite community will have a fair chance to exchange their existing Saronite coins to the new Saronite coins. We already notified TradeOgre of the swap and all the funds on TradeOgre will be safe and be swapped within the exchange. After the new blockchain goes live, we will announce that you can now swap your coins around, this can only be done via, Twitter, Telegram, Discord or the website with the assistance of Cloud. You will then send your old Saronite and receive your new Saronite currency. Because nothing changes and only the coins in existence will be mined the coin will be exchanged 1:1.
After announcing, everyone will still have 2 weeks to exchange their existing Saronite to the new Saronite. If any coins goes unclaimed during this 2 weeks, it will be given away to the community with Twitter promotions

What happens to the dev fee that was already mined in the past?
The development fee that was mined in the past will be given away in 4 separate Twitter promotions of the new Saronite. This will be done transparently.

Important! Lethean network issue

Valiant1 (Lethean Developer) post on Bitcointalk..

"Tonight, over the course of several hundred blocks, it would appear some manipulation occurred to drop difficulty and make a bunch of low difficulty (essentially "free") blocks. We are looking into the issue to determine the exact cause. At this time it is unknown how the exploit occurred. The good news is that daemons are automatically properly re-syncing back to the main chain before any of the block manipulation started (block 296225). However, any daemon mining blocks (eg. pool daemons) will require a restart before they will work correctly. To that end, Venthos and I have restarted our pool daemons and are attempting to get the network moving again. I am off to bed now but will resume analysis of the issue first thing in the morning to figure out what went wrong and ensure the issue does not recur. I will update you as we know more."

Bytecoin hardfork will be on August 31st

31.08.2018. The Bytecoin Hardfork Release.

Along with minor but valuable modifications, the main feature of this release is the long-awaited ability to set dynamic transaction fees. Despite the appeared simplicity of the change, we needed a considerable investment in time and energy to implement this protocol-breaking improvement. This feature will be extremly valuable among the entire Bytecoin ecosystem. The idea of dynamic fees is to increase a miners rewards and prioritizing one transaction over another simply depends on the fee that the sender decided to include in their transaction.

You can read more about it here on Bytecoin updated roadmap.
