Nevocoin

Nevocoin is the first public blockchain to implement NPoW, an innovative consensus system which is more resistant to double-spends and to conventional 51% attacks compared to pure Proof of Work systems.

With NPoW, one block every four blocks has to be signed by a Notary. This means that an attacker would need to gain at least 51% of the hashrate and also gain control of the Notary node, in order to do a successful 4-blocks (or longer) double-spend.

In order to avoid any downtime in case the Notary Node gets offline, finding a Notary Block is also possible without a valid Notary signature, as long as the block PoW's difficulty is at least 4 times higher than the block's consensus difficulty.

Blazing fast

It's no longer necessary to wait hours for your transactions to confirm. Nevocoin is immune to Replace-By-Fee: transactions with no confirmations are less likely to be cancelled by an attacker. And in case you want extra security, one confirmation only takes 2 minutes.

Scalable

Thanks to its fast mining algorithm, PruningPLUS, Bulletproofs+, and many other optimization techniques, Nevocoin is one of the most scalable blockchains while still providing an excellent degree of anonymity. Nevocoin's RandomNEVO algorithm enables infinite scalability with parallel multi-core verification.

ASIC resistant

Nevocoin employs a custom mining algorithm based on random code execution to ensure a fair hashrate distribution. Consumer processors (CPUs) are the best hardware for mining NEVO.
